Baby Tooth Survey – First Results

The Greater St. Louis Citizens' Committee for Nuclear Information is proud to present the first scientific report of its Baby Tooth Survey. These are the first measurements which show how much strontium 90 was absorbed during specific years (1951–1954 in this report) by a large number of children living in a particular locality. The strontium 90 figures in this bulletin are based on an analysis of 1,335 teeth out of the total 67,500 that have been collected so far from children in the St. Louis area. This is now the first place in the world for which such information is available.
